Annual Conference- Clearwater Beach, FL

The 2023 SAA Conference, held in Florida, featured a range of distinguished speakers and panel discussions. Notably, Patrick Murphy, Former Acting Secretary of the Army and Chief Management Officer, delivered a keynote address titled "From the Battlefield to the Boardroom: Geopolitics, Cybersecurity, and the Way Forward." Art Hogan served as the moderator for panel discussions on Closed-End Funds, featuring representatives from First Trust, Nuveen, and Wells Fargo, as well as an Equity Capital Markets discussion with partners from Barclays, Janney, and William Blair. Asset management firms such as HBK and Maven shared insights on their interactions with sell-side firms.

Additionally, the conference included traditional social events, such as the annual corn-hole tournament and a boat cruise in Tampa Bay, which provided attendees with opportunities for networking and leisure activities amid the warmth of the Florida sun.
